The Second Issue of GSG Magazine focuses on artistic and non-artistic practices aimed at developing social cohesion and strengthening disadvantaged communities.
From the Citizens to Their City (Gradani svom gradu) is a magazine published in Rijeka, Croatia by an arts initiative of the same name. The program and publication got its name from a wall plaque placed at the beginning and end of Krizaniceva Street in Rijeka where GSG is located. The inscription “From the Citizens to Their City / Rijeka 1983” celebrated the citizens’ contribution to the city’s infrastructure during a time when workers’ rights were as strong as their civic pride.
From the Citizens to Their City is published once or twice annually, with contributions by artists, writers, activists, and historians. Parallel events take place in Rijeka throughout the year.
