On March 8th, the Women’s Strike NYC will be out in the streets reclaiming the anti-capitalist roots of International Working Women’s Day and highlighting some of the major struggles at the crossroads of feminist and labor organizing: from the decimation of basic social safety nets, particularly insidious in working class communities of color, to the ways in which both care work and sex work remain unrecognized, even within the labor movement.

This year’s Women’s Strike NYC will take place on Sunday, March 8th at 1:00 PM in Washington Square Park in the form of a street festival.
Free Home University is calling for artists, graphic designers, and activists to take part in the Women’s Strike NYC Street Festival 2020 by submitting a poster that would resonate on a topic of justice for women.
