I am a white migrant who in Romania was the German, and in Germany is the Romanian. As a performance artist, trained death doula, and student of traditional plant medicine, my work takes place at the intersection of art, radical pedagogy, and activism. I work in collaboration with humans and more than humans. The work generates performances, immersive installations, encounters, and ongoing collective projects that address generative ethical dynamics of transformation. Since 2016 I have been curating Training for political imaginaries, a 24 hour symposium where ecologies of artistic and social practice are shared. During the pandemic I developed soma-acoustic listening sessions titled WAVES—listening towards social bodies as containers for collective grieving and intimate metabolic connection. Together with Shelley Etkin, Kitti Zsiga, and women in a post-migrant neighbourhood with ancestors from Turkey, Kurdistan, Syria, Iran, Armenia, Jordan, and Palestine, we are developing the SocialBodyApothecary, which values the knowledges and resources stored in our bodies and lands by practicing making medicine together as a decolonial practice of resistance against structural violence. My artistic and social research is devoted to practicing futures while grieving, and creating situations where we can do that collectively and publicly.
