Jonas Van (Ceará, Brazil, 1989) is a transnordestino artist, researcher, and cook. His practice is inscripted between gender disobediences, languages, science fiction, and spirituality using sound-video, ephemeral installations, and poetry. His work proposes theoretical and intimate narratives, linguistic and temporal fractures from an anti-colonial perspective. He has been in residency in Mexico, Bolivia, Portugal, Spain, Brazil, and Switzerland. Currently he is completing a research-based Master in Visual Arts—CCC (Critical, Curatorial and Cybermedia studies) at HEAD – Geneva. He lives and works in Geneva (CH).

Sua prática está inscrita entre desobediências de gênero, linguagens, ficção científica e espiritualidade, usando som-vídeo, instalações efêmeras e poesia. Seu trabalho propõe narrativas íntimas teóricas e ficcionais, fraturas linguísticas e temporais a partir de uma perspectiva anticolonial. Esteve em residência no México, Bolívia, Portugal, Espanha, Brasil e Suíça. Atualmente no Mestrado em Pesquisa e Artes Visuais – CCC (Estudos Críticos, Curatoriais e Cybermedias) na HEAD – Genebra. Vive e trabalha em Genebra (CH).
