i speak about another future
Poetry (6/6)

i speak about another future

i speak about another future

there was a wild heart inside
deep grave comics bread to eat
pieces of stone dog
enchanted-baby beloved
pajubá phenomenal woman from the end of the world

i’m in a hurry take it slow

there was ginga stick terreirão and arremate rue leaf
dengo and banzo maloca quilombo
saci-pererê danced on top of the ruin
we built diaspora as a joint

belonging is a pout
the future won’t take long and it was inside
serene as fuck

(Translation Rafaela Miranda)
falo de um outro futuro

tinha coração selvagem lá dentro
cova funda hq pão pra cumê
pedaços de pedra cachorro
bebê-encantado amada
mulher pajubá fenomenal do fim do mundo

tenho pressa vai devagar

tinha pau de ginga terreirão i arremate folha de arruda
dengo i banzo maloca quilombo
saci-pererê dançava em cima da ruína
a gente fez um pango da diáspora

a pertença é um beiço
o futuro não demora e tava lá dentro
sereno pra fudê

twilight over the acaraú river

there is in my eyes a so sad beauty:
such is the heat, that even the carnauba trees are like my heart,
arid, burnt.

crepúsculo sobre o rio acaraú

há nos meus olhos uma beleza tão triste:
tamanho é o estio, que até os carnaubais estão assim, feito meu peito
árido. ardido.
